Through the mother of sciences i.e. astronomy
A SAC member is perceived as being special amongst his /her peer group due to knowledge
of astronomy (and the sky above us like planets stars etc.) and awareness about
the Mother Nature and science’s play/ role in nature.
A person exposed to astronomy learns all fields of science such as Basic Physics,
Optics, General Sciences, Electronics etc.
There is ever increasing possibility of alien life being found and time is not far
away when humans shall have their first settlement somewhere other than Earth. Then
space Architects, space Doctors, Astronauts, Marketers, Plumbers and who not what
shall be the demand of the industry. We encourage scientific and astronomy literacy
for an age where astronomy will be as vital as reading and writing English.

Which club should I join?
The clubs have been designed considering the needs of different people.
Those who enjoy going out of Delhi on trips and excursions and enjoy being outdoors
are recommended to avail membership of ‘Constellation Club’ which provides an interesting
mix of holidays, outdoor observations etc.
Those who also want to be involved in day time workshops/ night observations but
cannot take an out of a town trip may avail membership of the STAR Club. They also
get a spectrograph and can marvel at the science play in our surroundings.

What type of payment
do you accept?
We accept payments through Cash/ DD/ Cheque and Credit Card. Members can pay online
also through our secured transaction site.
Does joining any of the clubs give me discounts on purchase of any product of Gnomon
Astrotech Pvt. Ltd.?
Yes as a member of the organisation, you get a rebate on purchase of any product
or service from Gnomon Astrotech.
Constellation Club Members get a rebate of 15% on purchase of any products or services.
Star Club Members get a rebate of 10% on purchase of products or services.

Can I pay the club
fee in installments?
No, the club membership fee is payable as a one time fee only to be paid at the
time of joining the club.

Is there a lower
age limit for kids for joining the club?
Yes, kids below the age of 10 years can not become the members of the club directly.
Though membership can be taken by the parent/guardian of the child and the child
can be nominated for the service.

Are there discounts
for senior citizens?
No, there are no age specific discounts for joining the club though elderly by volunteering
with S.P.A.C.E. can earn through S.P.A.C.E.’s self employment scheme.

What if I don't
like the club, can I get refund on my money after joining?
Yes the fee of the club is refundable if the member of the club is not satisfied
with our services. Though the charges of membership material supplied till date,
astronomy products and other relevant charges will be deducted before the refund.

What is the age
range of members in a club?
The grouping of members in a particular club is based on various factors like age,
profession, interest areas (like astrophotography, star gazing etc.) and many more.
It will be borne in mind while grouping the club members together that they share
same interests, age and activities etc.

How many members
are there in a club?
Every batch in the club will have a maximum strength of 50 members.

Are there any criteria
for joining space club?
Depending on the profile of the applicant and on the interaction with the counselors
of the club, the management holds the right to refuse membership to any one. The
decision of the management will be final and binding.

How many memberships
I can purchase at a time?
A member can hold only one type of membership in his/ her name at a given point
of time, though facility of upgrading the membership is available all through the
year.

Can I send any member
of my family when I am not available for an event?
Yes, the member can nominate other members of his/her family as Dependents for the
membership at the beginning of the membership only. The member would be required
to submit a photograph and documents sought for the dependent also.
A Dependent can take part in the event on behalf of the member with intimation and
approval by the concerned authority in the organisation.

Are the services
of the membership transferable occasionally and permanently?
The membership is non transferable. Though only dependents of the member can enjoy
the services of the club throughout the membership period.

Tell me about the
science communicators who shall be facilitating our astronomy activities?
The science communicators of the club are trained professionals. They are qualified
teachers and have flare for science. All the educators undergo a rigorous training
program before being inducted in the job.
Every communicator is certified by S.P.A.C.E., the only certifying body in India
in this field.

Can I upgrade my membership?
Yes, the membership can be upgraded; the member is required
to submit a written request to the club coordinator regarding the same.
The fee of the club chosen for up gradation will be charged minus the fee already
paid by the member for his/her existing club membership.
Also the members of a club can avail many services that are offered by the company
from time to time by paying discounted charges for the service.
